The block is about a community in poverty where at some point the block was controlled by the government, and the government is kicking everyone out of their houses for a project, so Yvonne Phillips, a past resident in the block and has sadly passed away, discusses about how angry she was at the government for destroying their homes. She talks about how she tried to help the teens by forming a youth club to motivate teens since they were affected by all the drugs coming to the community with this project. She says and believes that "I pray, really I pray that it all, that we do get houses back here."

Both the articles and the story about the block are related because they both talk about how government has destroyed peoples homes and kicked them out in the curve. The government is becoming too powerful to be able to take people's rights and not providing them any money and just to create projects to make money.
